CMC provided comprehensive construction management services for the City University of New York’s new 160,000 SF academic and administrative facility at 205 East 42nd Street. Spanning six floors, the project included classrooms, offices, and public assembly spaces designed to foster collaboration and student engagement.
The scope also featured a ground-floor Welcome Center - a modern, street-level hub where prospective students and visitors can connect with the University. CMC led more than eight months of preconstruction planning, developing multiple tenant and landlord budgets and implementing extensive value engineering to ensure efficiency and cost control.
All public assembly areas on the 7th and 8th floors were completed and approved ahead of schedule, achieving Department of Buildings sign-offs prior to TCO inspection.
